Can you please help me with an ID? This guy is barely visible to the naked eye. The focus of the picture doesn't show it well but it looks like it has a mouth. Tentacles are translucent and end up in a white tip. It is inside a hole in the rock and can retract into it.

Thanks!

Looks like a ball nem, which is actually not a nem at all, but more related to shrooms. Besides retracting, is it motile? Are you able to see a foot? Other thing to watch out for are cup corals--if it has a stony skeleton then probably a cup coral, which is a fine hitchhiker.

Looking at pictures of ball anemones I'm pretty sure that is what it is. Thanks for the guidance.

It seems there is no consensus on them being a problem? It looks interesting but if it might become an issue I don't mind trying to remove it.

Most people just leave Ball Anemones alone. i would if one ended up in the tank. At worst they’re a neutral hitchhiker

Looking closer, it does look like a hidden cup coral. I’ve had them in live rock deliveries before. Pretty cool.
