Hi,

I was sold this anemone as a Magnificent Sea Anemone, but now it is home I am not so sure.

The foot on it is white and lumpy, which I believe is different to a magnificent- I believe they’re meant to be more pinky

Any ideas on what it could be would be great

thanks in advance

Looks like a Ritteri to me, from the pictures.

I agree--magnifica.

Keep an eye on that foxface though... sometimes they go rogue and will nip at meatier corals and anemones.

Thanks for the heads up --
Have been observing it for a while - both the foxface and gold rim were from our LFS display tank (mixed reef) which he reluctantly sold to us after asking about them for months, living with meat corals, zoas, anemone and others with no issues
