So I just recieved 2 of the same anemones and am wondering if they are truly colorado sunburst as that is what the vendor said and also said he would get me the lineage soon as he can. I only got them today and am still awaiting the confirmation but am wondering if any of you may have some separate insight into what you see here please?

It's hard without being able to really edit the colors of the photo but I would say the tentacles are very slightly less red to the naked eye. Also not sure what a marbling foot looks like as I've not had much experience with nems

The guy I got them from said he has proof of lineage and is working on getting it. He said he bought them at macna like 10 years ago from Randy O of Reef Creation

Bring in the resident nem experts to settle it. I've never seen a CSB like that though.
Unfortunately to me it is to difficult to actually tell. There are so many light variations that a nem of any lineage might look different in my tank than another.

The only way to know is verifiable lineage...

To that point... the name game means nothing to me...

Unless someone wants to buy my ultra nuclear green atomic hadonni... ;)

Doesn’t look like a sunburst to me but I also don’t feel it’s a rainbow. I’m not seeing the classic green in the tentacles of a rainbow. My instant thought was a black widow

I saw this yesterday and stayed away from it. OP stated the colors weren't true here, and I don't do the"high end name game"

Certificate of lineage is really the only way at this point to verify. I can tell you that in the last 10 years there are a lot of CSB clones that could be easily passed off.

Bob, they are beautifully expressive nems. The last shots show some really neat markings. Good luck on getting to the bottom of it. If your supplier cannot prove lineage, they can really only be sold as beautiful rainbows. Those would command a premium to me, but not CSB premium.

They look a lot like a nem like POTO had a whole back and I think they were getting about $100/ for them.
