Did you just acquire it?
Im guessing it just got fed and will do what you are seeing after intake of energy (food). Nitrate is up a little. Assure water quality is good.

Recommended-

salinity 1.024-1.025
temp 77-79
ph 8.1-8.3
ammonis .03
nitrate .02-.04

Moderate light and water flow

Do you have hydrometer to check salt and kit to check Ph ?? I have three apex units and they are well known to produce false reading and require regular calibrations.

I’d try to get your water parameters closer to what Vetteguy recommended, especially the Nitrate. He doesn’t look like he’s melting, so nothing to be losing sleep over yet. Just keep an eye on him & maybe reduce the light intensity for a few days to help un-stress him.

I personally just use a refractometer, just because I’m old school & don’t trust technology always.

Let us know if things get any worse! Good luck!
