Anemone nest that will stop anemones from walking around in tank! Openings on the side and the end help with water movement and debris removal. Three sizes available: S/M/L (about 2/3/4 inches) for $10/$13/$16. Different colors can be made upon request. Shipping costs about $6.
Size chart for your reference (best guess based on my tests; anemone size measured when they are fully open):
small nest: <= 2.5inch disc / <= 1.5inch foot
medium nest: <= 4inch disc / <= 2.5inch foot
large nest: <= 6inch disc / <= 3.5inch foot
I have been using a few different types of anemone nests, so far the shell shape proves to be the best, with really low chances of anemones escaping.
Instruction: put the loose anemone into the shell and gently push it into the channel with its foot towards the inside of the nest. Let the anemone set foot in the channel, and monitor it for the first 15 minutes. Once the anemone sets foot in the right direction, it is very unlikely to leave the shell unless it has grown out of the nest, or the current/light is extremely unpleasant.
Printed with PETG that will last in reef tank and do not leach harmful chemicals. The surface is relatively coarse, which is better than smooth surface for anemone to grab.
