When my nems split, I put them in one of those glass cups. I put a piece of foam in the opening (don't be fooled, they climb right out) and the nem loves hanging onto the foam. It must be something about the surface texture. Why do you need the foam?
Ice inside plastic bag against foot, they will let gogenius.
someone (not me) will patent this and make millions.
now I need to figure out how to make it work for the nem on my back glass.
Ice inside plastic bag against foot, they will let go
That is a beautiful anemone AND a brilliant idea! Thank you for sharing this!Just wanted to show off my anemone removal invention.
All you need is a piece of foam, a plastic cup and two long rubber bands. Cut a hole in the foam, cut off the bottom of the cup and make holes for the rubber bands.
Then, simply annoy the anemone until it closes up enough to put the foam over it. Finally, place the cup over the foam and use the rubber bands to hold it in place. The anemone will just walk out...

Your mileage may vary, but they can only stretch so far. I think that the smallish hole in the sponge constricts them and makes them uncomfortable in that position. So what is to say they don't keep their foot attached and just stretched out of the tube ? I have a few nems im trying to get out of my rock work and i tried a "Y" tube for the same principal and all they did was stretch out of the tube for light ? i need something they will for sure attach to and be able to pull them out . impossible to remove the rock they are on without taking down most rock scape
