Didnt see much online about this but what causes a anemone to turn dark colors? I've had a black widow for about 3 months now and it had slowly turn dark red. The white webbing is still very visible. Anyone had this happen?

picture needed to confirm, but typically when anemones get darker they’re getting healthier. Congrats! It sounds like it’s doing well.

Agree, normally darker means healthier but before and after pic would tell for sure.

Possibly your lights may be stronger than what it was under before, so from pics it looks like it's tightened up some, and kind of condensed may appear darker.
They will expand surface area if wanting more light, tighten up if wanting less from my exp.
Just my guess going off 2 snaps
