I have an anemone long tentacle and everything was great for a few weeks after getting him then i added some new live rock, it was dry at the time, and my nem when from anchored at the base of established live rocks to laying on his side and not putting his foot in the sand. I moved him slightly to a more secure location so he wouldn't be affected much by the flow of the water. Today when i got home from work he had flipped himself upside down. Do i have just a mad nem or is he dying?

The rock may have cause an ammonia spike from rotting dead stuff inside it. Was it clean dry rock or old used reef rock? Because without a proper clean of used reef rock there will be a bunch of issues because of it

Unstable tanks are not good for anemones. Which is likely why it’s stressed out and went find a spot it like
They require mature and stable tanks to survive and live

Could have been ticked off if his original place was disturbed, the flow etc became different from the new rocks and arrangement from when it was first introduced which made it loose its footing to find a more suitible place
