Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum and new to keeping marine fish.
We have had to tank set up for about 4 months now and have 2 anemones in there along with some fish, one of our anemones has been like this for the last 3-4 days and hasn’t come out with the lights on or off.
Any advice on what we can do or if it has died?
Thanks

Looks dead and is melting away , you should take it out , your system is kind of young for an Anemone , the general rule is 6 months to year before an Anemone is added. It’s really the diversity of bacteria in your aquarium you don’t have enough.

Sorry abt the anemone. It is fairly hard to keep them in a newer tank. Take care of the other one you have and when the tank gets older try another.

Oh... and welcome to the reef!

Thankyou very much!
I’m new to keeping Marine but my dad used to when I was a baby, so there’s so much for us to learn now!

Thankyou, we have a clown fish escape some how, posted on Facebook and just got stupid comments so i thought I would find people who are more interested in the hobby than taking the mick

I’m in your same situation. My nem went straight to a cave to hide. Hoping he will come out for light eventually if I just leave him alone. Anyway best of luck!
