So my nem has moved after never having done so before, but it's only cpl months old. The spot it has moved to is under a rock where it's blocking the light source. The nem does not appear to be doing well. The rock above is easily removable and nothing else is on it where I could get it light. Or should I just leave it be and will move on its own. Seems a long way from where it moved. Its literally straight down from where it was like it fell down a hole in the rock. Now it's not really extending.

As long as all the water parameters are within recommended ranges, let it do its thing.

like others said, let it be. never move the nem on your own. It went to that spot for a reason. before it moved, did you do anything different with your flow or light.
Do you know what your par readings in your tank? In my experience, Nems will want a little bit higher par (200+). If your light is too much, it will hide. Not enough and it will move towards the light

I mean if it moved 1/2 over either way it would be in the light
I’ve had my BTA go under a rock in the dark for a month before it came out
Your reading seem ok
I don’t even test unless I see a problem in the tank
Some nems will hide due too much strong light
Go for medium flow
But I wouldn’t worry at this point
Just have to wait till it shows again
And as above said have you changed anything in your tank

Sounds good. I'll just leave it be. I'm not real concerned about it. Nothing has really changed in the tank other than i seem to have some mild cyano or diatoms. I had fed it 1/3 cube frozen mysis shrimp the day before which is something new.

Update : Thanks to those who advised me to leave it alone. It has now moved where it can receive light and appears to be fine.

Fantastic! :star-struck: Glad its going better for you!

Mine keeps moving around as well. If anything, it's enjoyable to watch and always fun when you come down in the morning!

"Where is it today I wonder?"

Wow, those are gorgeous. What a sight to come down to in the morning!
Aye, I have three more coming and some rock flower anemones for the bottom! Then that's that tank fully stocked and finished!
