I'm getting so frustrated. I have an rbta that just got chomped.. again.
Is there such as thing as an anemone safe circulation system??
I'm running a typical pump on the side of my tank.
I had a anemone sponge for it, but it restricted too much flow.
I have been searching for a nice system and came to 3 options: a couple mp40, a couple maxspect 330 gyres, or closed loop system with 2 DC pumps on either side.
I have a 75g tank now, but I'm getting ready to set up a 125g. The 125 is 6 feet long.
I don't mind the hassle of setting up the closed loop system and I'm beginning to side that way.
I'd like to hear if you guys experienced the same frustrations I'm going through and what did you eventually settle with.

The Sicce Voyager pumps seem to be well covered. I would highly recommend those. They are relatively cheap too. Super quiet. The other thing would be to trap the anemones by using the flow pattern to keep them away from floating towards a powerhead.

Closed loop on a 125. I have done that with a dart pump. 2 returns into sea swirls for random flow. I used a long strainer to keep critters from being sucked into it. I found one similar to this but 8" long.
https://shop.dursostandpipes.com/collections/strainers/products/intake-strainerI currently have 5ea mp60's with the foam covers on my 600g. I dont run them at full blast. Get good flow at about 1/4 to 1/2 speeds. You do need to clean or swap out the covers every week as they get clogged a bit. My nem climbed to the highest point in my tank and has left the power heads alone.

I would try to figure out why the nem keeps moving. In a 75 there should be plenty of comfortable spots for it to reside. If it keeps climbing up the side glass, it may be looking for more light.
