Angelfish for 30 cube

Hello all,

What dwarf angelfish would be best for a 20 x 20 30 gallon cube? Tank will most likely be FOWLR or a softy reef. I am thinking of the captive bred angels.

- multibar
- Venustus
- trio of tiny flameback possible?

Is this a grow out tank for them to move to a bigger tank? If not then none of these are a good choice, tank is too small. A cherub that maxes out around 2 and a half inches to 3 inches. The others are around 5-6, too big for a cube. My biocube is about the same footprint

All of those are recommended to be in 55-70 gallon tanks. We all cheat a little on tank sizes, but when cheating by more than 50% its time to draw the line.

They grow faster than you think! You might be able to do a cherub like I said earlier, they are the smallest angel. I kept one in my biocube for a long time!

I like the cherub too. I’ve seen those less than half an inch in size.

I like the cherub too. I’ve seen those less than half an inch in size.

Yep! Mine was about 1 and a 1/2 inches. He got eaten unfortunately by one of my eels when I had to move them to that tank temporarily.
