Just about to purchase first fish for QT for Marineland 53 gallon DT (36x18x21). I'll eventually add LPS only

29G sump, Skimmer either to be Reef Octo Essence 130, Eshopps s-120 or Icecap K2 120. 10%weekly water changes

What do yo think of this list in terms of overstocking, compatibility, etc ?

Yellowhead Jawfish
Pink Streaked wrasse
Mccoskers wrasse
Tailspot or Midas Blenny (Will Midas add too much bioload based on this list)?
Black Cap Basslet
Leopard toby Puffer ( I know reef safe questionable)
Flame or Longnose hawk (I know shrimp questionable)

I'm guessing this would likely max me out in terms of bioload, yes?

Thanks for your time!

Well I went on a journey yesterday looking for some coral and 1 fish. I found the fish I was looking for at the 4th lfs I went to but I fell in love with a male flame wrasse. So I asked the employee who has never pointed me in the wrong direction, about adding to many fish. His reply was every tank is different, it depends on what you want as far as what coral you want , you nutrients and removal, water changes all come into factor. So it’s a little difficult to say if your at max or not. IMO watch your tank as you add fish to it and stay you corse with testing so you can watch nitrate to see how your handling you bio load. I hope that helps!

Those species are all compatible.

Agreed that each tank is different in it's bioload capacity, so you will have to determine that through slowly adding and frequent testing.

FWIW leopard tobies are about the safest puffer species.

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
