Another Sump Question

Got my sump running. Sounds like the house if flooding! Lol does there need to be more water in here? The photos where taken as its running, I was skeptical because I wanted to leave enough room for backdraft I’d there was a power failure.

Seems like alot of air leakingis flowing through the drain line. No leaks though. Thanks for you’re patience with me the last few days!!!

Appears to be enough room for tank to overflow into. I would test it to make sure by shutting pump off and making sure there’s room. If you’re worried about the noise put the pvc or tubing piece way down into the sock so it touches the water, it will reduce noise. Make sure to add a union or a way to remove sock

When it’s running should the soak be completely submerged?

When it’s running should the soak be completely submerged?

Based on your pictures yes. As long as all the water is going thru the sock more than 50% can be in the water, anything will still be trapped for a debris stand point. If water rises above the sock holder that’s where debris can get out and you run into issues
