Either Dinoflagellates or Chysophytes, there is a HUGE thread on dinos.

This looks like dinoflagellates. Did you bottom out your nitrates and phosphates? Someone on here will likely give a prolix response about these, fear not. The search bar is your friend - these can be a pain to remove but if you're diligent and determined you can do this!

Eesh, I just tested and they are both dang near zero, if not zero. So dang, now what do I do. Was assuming some kind of algae from nutrients being too high!

Dino’s then , first thing I’d recommend is turning off lights for 3 days / feeding more to get nitrate / phos reading this bacteria thrives at low nutrient levels

I don't know what percentage of folks had luck battling dinos with any of the methods in the old Dino thread but it's obviously a very low percentage, so I'd like refresh folks on the natural alternatives and lay out three areas of info: some of the factors that contribute to a dino outbreak...
