Hello

I’m in the middle of planning my fish for my 205 gallon ( 5 foot long ) tank. This way, I can make sure to have all the right equipment to give myself the best chance of success with the fish. I was wanting go get a nice shoal of anthias to go with the tangs, angels and wrasses that I want to also get. I was hoping to get some feedback on whether to get a group of one kind, two or three different groups and thoughts on kinds. I would love to have different colours of them. I was thinking of Dispar, randell’s and bimaculatus anthias. I’m open for other suggestions as well. Recommendations of the best food would greatly be appreciated as well.

Bruce

I have a school of 5 Dispar anthias (all from
@tsm corals , which I highly recommend as they all come eating and pre QT) in my 210G and they are AWESOME! Love watching the displays of the males and how they all school and run against each other.

I feed the tank at least 2-3 times a day with frozen foods, mix of LRS, Mysis, brine, mega marine etc.... all the anthias eat like pigs no matter what the food is.

Thank you very much for the info. I definitely want to order my fish from TSM. They’re working of getting there licence to ship to airports in Canada for people to go pick up. I’m hoping they get the go to do it. Would you add more Dispar or others to the tank or do you find that’s enough? What other fish do you have with them? Any issues?

We have a single Fat Head Anthia in there as well and the dispars don’t seem to bother him at all.
For other fish I have a pair a Bellus Angels, a Potters Leopard Wrasse, a McCoskers Wrasse, a pintail fairy wrasse, 3 fire fish and an Orange Spot Rabbitfish.
the only other fish that ever “bothers” them is the McCoskers when he flashes at them but the male anthias flash right back and make sure he never gets too close to their females.

Good to know. You have a few other fish that I would like, so that definitely helps
