I have a purple Antillogoria gorgonian (Sea Plume) that is covered with open polyps. I have been feeding with PhytoFest, Coral Frenzy and Kent ChromaMax. I have Brightwell's Reef Snow on the way. What else should I be offering this creature?

Thank you

They are fairly easy. Provide moderate to good light as they are photosynthetic and decent flow. Feed Phytoplankton every other day. You will notice how much they resond to light simply by observing them when lights first go on. They look like twigs, and quickly they bloom and extend their polyps ready to eat

So not to discourage you and your feeding. But I broadcast reef roids weekly. I’ve had my 2 gorgs for 3 or 4 years now. They started at 4”-6” now they’re 18”-20”. Fish poop is on the menu tonight. Well it’s almost every night. Lol

If I cannot feed liquid phytoplankton, will the powdered work if I am away for 3-4 days?

It should be ok but be careful on amounts as powdered can elevate your nitrate and phosphate levels

The antillogoria seems to be happy in the tank BUT after being away for 2 weeks, I find a bunch of aptaisia growing around the frag base (only place I have seen this in the tank). Can I cut the antilloria and attach it to a new piece of rubble rock? And remove the current base/frag from the tank?

Other ideas how to kill the aptaisia?
