Hi anyone know what this could be growing on my rock…. Defiantly getting bigger.

It’s perfectly flat and can just about see colouration of rock through it

I’m thinking sponge, or maybe some type of algae.
It looks fuzzy the way a sponge should be. Most likely harmless.
Probably not a coral (unless it glows in blues?).

If it's hard and you can't scrape it off with your finger, then I would say green coraline algae.

Looks like an encrusting coral of some type to me.

If I put high lumen flash light on it, it kind of looks crusty

I'd need a better pic to try an ID, if it's a coral at all. Maybe a leptastrea.

not all corals glow in blue. some sponges and things glow in blue also.

Can see it in a couple of other places just a lot smaller…. The one in the picture has a diameter of 15mm… thought coralline state small

Thinking that’s coralline now. Some of mine are huge, others are smaller.
