Looks like a bristle worm.

Can I see it flipped over like the legs showing I'm not 100% but looks very bristle wormy to me

Sorry he's gone now. He wasn't hairy on the legs

Could it have been some type of lug worm or peanut worm ? Where was it under the rock or buried beneath the sand under it?

It was under the rock there was no sand under it. Just seen it crawl out when I move the rocks around

Well not a lug worm then they live in the sand this one's got me stumped.

Though it is definitely an anneild worm and not polychelate
