Any Idea?

This week my Frog Spawn kicked the dust. I tried moving it a couple of times in the last few weeks but it was slowly shrinking and not opening well. It was fine for a month or so and then started to go downhill. Well today I finally gave up and pulled it out. I found this strange hard tube on the plug. Any idea what it could be?

Thanks… I didn’t think it was but was curious about it since I’m relatively new. I’m believing it is entirely due to my tank being too new. It’s only been up about 4 months.

Yep, duster tube, throw It back in the tank if you want, if you're lucky it'll be a red or gold speckled one. Completely harmless/beneficial
