Any ideas what this is?

Come home from today to find this weird looking thing sticking out from the center of one of my bankis. Never seen this before and was curious if it was normal, bad or whatever. It almost looks like a translucent snail shell.

Never had any snail shells that looked like that in the tank. It almost looks like there is something inside of it.
