Leopard moth is what I found of Google... I think it's the same

Not an expert but it looks to be a giant leopard moth (Hypercompe scribonia).

PS that is beautiful moth!

That’s it! When I looked it up I realized the caterpillar was in our yard a month or 2 ago. Big hairy black caterpillar with red bands.

Leopard moth, looks like it just hatched and the wings are beginning to dry in first picture.
