Just a thought but being able to monitor the airflow of a skimmer would advantageous. Not so much about the actual number, but if it trends high or low it could indicate
1) Rise or drop is water volume of the skimmer section of the sump (which would be caused by something else)
2) Potentially alert you to when the skimmer needs cleaning/maintanence
3) Alert you if the skimmer failed for any reason.
Just a thought as it would seem like an inexpensive sensor to add.
