I think the main issue is probably the way wrasses scatter their eggs - making them difficult to collect before they get eaten.

Any fish that does not guard their own eggs may consider them a tasty snack - and you can bet any tankmates will.
thats what I assumedBreeding and getting eggs maybe hard but it can be done, i think the most issues we have with captive bred is getting the right food for these guys right when they hatch. Even rotifers are too big for wrasse and dwarf angelfish to start eating eating once they hatch, unlike clownfish.
