Any SCUBA divers here?

I just got certified through PADI this summer and had the wonderful opportunity to do my certification dives on the channel islands. There is a lot I need to learn (neutral buoyancy anyone?) but im excited nonetheless. Has anyone here done a AAUS scientific diving course? My school offers a course I plan to take in the spring.

Congrats on your new certification!! The Channel Islands are one of my favorite spots in the world to dive.
Keep those certifications coming!! If your school offers courses, that would be a great place to continue your diving career.

I love diving amongst the giant sea kelp and garibaldis. The wet suit makes the buoyancy thing hard at first.

There were so many garibaldi and other fish because I swam in the mpa off santa cruz island. I saw huge gorgonians and a large orange tube anemone on my dive. The only problem I had aside from buoyancy was air consumption because I did not pay attention to my breathing.
