Hey all,

I have a bubble algae issue in my overflow. Short of covering it, which I plan to, I was going to strand an emerald crab in there to help clean it up. The only issue is the bubble algae at the top in the weir area. To assist the crab in getting to it, I was going to float a piece of styrofoam so they can get to it.

Is all styrofoam safe or should I be looking for a particular type?

I don’t believe it is safe. Most likely it will leech off something that you won’t want in a closed environment
