They look like little star fish with uneven length legs and a red dot in the middle of them.

astrina stars. they are ok in tank mostly but can become pest as they reproduce well. There is one kind that will eat corals, but the white ones I think are ok

I hate these little stars. They spread in my tank in the hundreds and really got out of control. They say they are "harmless" but I would say other wise. I've seen them eat corals, couldn't add a harlequin shrimp in my case because of three wrasses that I had. I would take them out whenever you see them. Trust me they are no good.
