I have a couple cerith snails and a bunch of pods in a hang on back refugium. No fish. The cerith snails are constantly laying long white strings of eggs on the glass so i dont think this is from them. This tan colored stuff was all over my intake when i woke up today. This is the best picture i could get. Ive seen tons of cerith eggs that seem to fade & disappear after a few days.... but never see any baby ceriths. Could this be baby ceriths grouped together? Im baffled.

Those ceriths don’t make it, they become fish food. The only snails that have reproduced in my tank are trochus. They don’t lay eggs but spawn into the water column. Hm, what you are seeing may be a type of sponge. Hopefully someone smarter than me will chime in to confirm. Have a great 4th!

Thanks, but now today they seem to have kind of torn apart and most of it is gone. Im thinkung possibly they were just cerith eggs that have already started to break down like the others. I missed seeing this string somehow though when it was laid. There are no fish in there right now so it couldnt have been the fish eating it. Thanks for your response.
