This is one I got at a recent live sale and has been in my tank for about a week. Everything looked good the day before but I came home yesterday and found this. All the other coral look fine. Water parameters are
nitrates 5
Phos .03
Cal 330
Alk 7.8-8
Ph 7.9
Sorry for the picture it was later in the evening.

It is, it looks as if the polyps were skinned off the skeleton? I have a cleaner shrimp but I have yet to see him mess with any coral.

So with polyp bailout the polyps can literally just fall off and still have color and somewhat of a form? I've only ever seen them shrivel up, recede or slime up to nothing. This is a first for me.

Yes, unfortunately the polyp can fall off and still have color. It will shrivel up and just fall to pieces. However, don't pull the skeleton until you're absolutely sure it's completely dead. I've had more than one euphyllia regenerate after polyp bailout.

I've had polyp bailout on a hammer frag that was in to much flow and also a torch in to much flow. I left the frags in seeing if anything returns.
