Favorite characters....hmm...that changes periodically. I'd have to say Peter and Sylar because they have the potential to be so powerful. I like Peter better because he doesn't have to kill to add to his abilities. Now if Claude can only teach him how to retain and conjure them on cue.......

Man, what an episode that was....that was a lot to take in at one time (I guess I need to make my way over to their website to watch it again :) ). I definitely didn't guess that one...not sure who could have.
I'm curious to see who really ends up being on the "good" side and who's on the "bad" side. Any ideas?

Man, let the countdown begin to the next episode. This show is so freaking addicting it's ridiculous. Let me know if you all find any good links or anything and I'll do the same.

Wow, so Nathan is Claire's father. Never would have guessed that.
How funny was it when Claude (I think that's his name, the invisible man) knocked Peter out because his body was wigging with all the powers. I think when he learns how to control them, if he does, he will be even more intense than Sylar.
I am just concerned about where they will go after the explosion line in the story. I like the show and don't want it to end.

Man...I can't wait until lunch time to watch again on the ipod. =P I've been reading for a while people guessing Claire's dad and I never agreed....didn't think he'd be old enough, etc. It makes me start thinking in detail about the parents of heroes....and how the genetic mutations manifest in offspring. Something else I've though for a while...Linderman may have had more in mind then just blackmail by making Nik sleep with Nathan. Can you imagine their offspring?
I think the Nicki/Jessica storyline may have gotten interesting last night. I've been pretty bored with that one "yeah yeah...dr jeckle...we get it". I've always said that I thought their deal wasn't a split personality...it was actually two being fighting over a body with astral projection or something. It was pretty creepy seeing Nik stuck in a mirror. Its interesting that she seems to be stuck in something....and D.L's ability is phasing....wonder if he could get her out of the mirror some how.

I thought all along that Nathan was her father. He was probly out in vegas screwing her mom when she was a stripper or something. I think Nathan will end up a villain, I mean hes half way there, being a politician!

Great episode, can't wait for next week!!! Peter is gonna be the savior IMO after he learns to control his powers. I agree Nathan is gonna turn bad. I can't believe 5 bullets didn't stop Sylar! Dang.

Anyone catch after Sylar threw Claire mom into the china cabinet and she was laying on the ground looking up at him....as he approached he seemed to utter the word 'hi...' but it sounded wierd. It sounded like that demon voice that Eden's voice took on when she was using persuation. Wonder whats up with that?

Yeah, I did notice that. I don't know of he was persuading her to do something that we may find out later. If he is like Peter then all he needs is to be around the others to get their powers. Now Eden killing herself would indicate he actually needs something from them to get those powers but that hasn't been proven. You would think that they are not sure of his abilities as they were keeping him in that room that they thought was secure.
I think this is part of what is so intriguing about the show, the always wondering about what is going on and what will happen next.

I thought the same thing, until I remembered she killed herself to stop him from getting her power, so I am not really sure???

I think he disects the brain and figures out how it works. They found lots of texts in his apartment about the anatomy of the brain and brain surgery. He spent years working with tiny configurations of watches so I guess he likens the ability to know how something works to knowing how the brain works.
What that doesn't describe is how he's able to then apply what he learns to his own brain. And I really don't think he eats them to digest the genes.....there really isn't anything through the digestive process that would allow him to obsorb dna, mutations or the like.

I was under the impression that he figured out what in their brain gave them the ability to do what they do...then was able to modify or 'fix' his own brain to emulate the way theirs was.
