Bubble tip is moving around every 3rd or 4th day for some reason. Just wondering this is normal or not? All my others have planted themselves and have not moved.

He is healthy was sold to me from divers den as a fancy color but has recently turned very green.

Thanks for looking.

my bubble tip hasn't moved since the night it was added to the tank 6 months ago.. it found a happy spot that first night and hasn't moved since. It did split off a baby a few weeks ago, but it has not moved either, so now I have two BTA's in the same spot.

I put mine in 1 1/2 inch pvc cap and they stayed where I put them for a couple months. Then I took them out and cut them in half. When I put them back they left the pvc and found a whole in a rock.

i bought my first BTA 4 month after started my tank. Since then it has split severeal times but never changed colors. i got to the point where i had 11 of them all together on the same area, then two of them moved to another rock, i guess because they lack of room to grow.

this is how crowded was the corner before they started moving

You cut it in half? Ouch
i guess cutting them in half aint much different from what they do in nature. they split in the center right across the mouth, now both animals will have to develop a new mouth.
