I just brought this home my first classic car. A 1968 Firebird not sure what I am going to do with it, but I know it will not be my daily driver.

Perhaps Someone knows of a club I can join as I have soo many question like what wax to use ect.ect.

Nice bird! Beautiful car!

I don't have a hot rod these days, but when I was a teenager I had a 1969 RS Camaro. I don't have any pictures of it right now. Canary yellow with black racing stripes, functional cowl induction hood and hide away head lamps. Subframe connectors. 411 posi rear end.

350 bored out to 383. Turbo 350 with a stall converter with his and her shifter. Rally rims.

Back in the day I almost tubbed it out and adding a blower to go pro street, but didn't.

Very cool ^^^

Thanks man! Bought it as a roller. Spent all of last spring and most of the summer building her. Had to store her cause of the snow. Getting it out it is weekend if work doesn't tie me up. Best dyno pull was 884 at the tires last fall. Looking forward to upping that a bit this spring. And don't bother asking for a full car shot as I won't post that;)

I honestly don't know a whole lot about the car except Pontiac 350 HP rebuilt last year 30 over stroked, heads were machined to accept (better?) Chevy valves, Holly 750 whatever all that means LOL and a not happy with 2 speed transmission 60 mph and your pushing 3500 rmp Going for a full size Impala LTZ to a car with manual brakes and manual steering is a learning experience. All in all the guy needed money fast and I think I did alright at 13K I guess if I get tired of it I should be able to recoup most of my money back?

Awesome ride. I love classic muscle cars. I want one, but don’t have the time. I wouldn’t imagine you’d have much trouble recouping most if not all your money. You might even make a few bucks depending on location and time of year.

That deville is sweet too. My buddy has one of those down in Vegas unless he sold it. How many knots does yours go?

You have a great looking car for sure! Sounds like a heck of deal as well.

My uncle has a '67 firebird that he bought while he was in high school for $300. He bought it in '74 and still has it. It's rough looking from the outside for sure, but wow, it's fast! I'll have to show him this thread to motivate him to finish the rest of the car.

Grew up in the backseat of this, road tripping across the midwest. At the age of 23 My dad gave it to me for my birthday. This photo is at the first show after I painted it in factory colored primer.

No muscle for me.....I have a 1960 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite.

Nice looking cars-
I guess my ‘90 is considered a classic these days since it’s >25yrs.

1990 300zx twin turbo- my wife calls it my mistress.
Just came out of the barn for the 1st time in 2 yrs today- has a little work and made 627 hp at the wheels and 606 torque.
This is her in all her dusty glory tonight.

And since we talking cars- not a classic but a fun toy-

I worked for sears as a second job in the auto center a hundred years ago and I remember the first 69 Austin Healy MG Midget Sprite I changed the battery in . They brought it back as all the gauges were working backwards. Dang positive grounded foreigners. Whoops

Great thread mark! I anxiously await the next post. One of these days I’ll get my hands on a 641/2-66 mustang. My dad had a 68 when I was in high school. I got to drive it here and there. Before that he had a 73 triumph tr6. Learned to drive stick on that little beauty. They both were great. Sadly I have no garage and Tahoe does get a little snow from time to time.
