Anyone ever see anything like this?

This came out from under the shell of one of my nassarius snails. There is some goo attaching the crab and it doesn't seem to be moving, so I am unsure if it is alive or not. Anyway, here a few pictures. Hoping someone can tell me what it is and whether I should leave it or take it out.

if you clean the goo off it looks a lot like this crab I found in my sump. I don't know what it is though.they have very similar body structures. But then again I guess all crab do lol.

I thought it might be this, but doubt it.

Looks to be and most likely a 'Pea Crab' or similar species being hosted by the snail and what you see is the molt.
The pea crab, Pinnotheres pisum, is a small crab in the family Pinnotheridae that lives as a parasite in oysters, clams, mussels, and other species of bivalves

Thanks. Sounds like you're right. And that it's pretty harmless with it being in a tank with smaller fish.

Woke up this morning to do a water change and found him hanging half out of the snail.
