Anyone have a fish that never sleeps?

I'm out in the living room for another sleepless night and again my naso is out slowly swimming around the tank. Last night she was out all night long. Lights have been off for hours and there's just enough light from my power strip to make out her shape. I've had her 10 years but this insomnia is new to me so I can't really say this is new behavior but I've not seen her out and about when I've done spot checks in the middle of the night once in a while. I'm not worried but curious if others have fish that don't rest. I guess she has insomnia too.

I've never kept a tally to know for sure, but I *think* all my fish are tucked in even before the lights go out sometimes. Like you I don't know as much for sure about what happens in the middle of the night, but this is my observation and thinking.

My clowns never sleep, not matter what time of night I come downstairs, they are always swimming in their goni's, it never ever stops. In the 7 years I've had them I've never seen them sleep.

I wonder if that's tru for all clowns that are being hosted by an anemone (because if they fall asleep they become lunch)?

close to mr mojo's experience mine never sleep either but for me its only my black storm, never seen that guy rest even for a second, at night he leaves the anenome and my female who sleeps and just swims around and inspects stuff

My clown's don't host anything but they still are constantly swimming in one spot all night. I wonder if this is just what clownfish do? For me, it also could be because the fish "hub" has been taken over by Tang and springeri, and my clownfish find corals uncomfy. But sometimes they just swim around randomly just looking at the Sandbed. Maybe they get like 30 second increments of sleep during the day and night?

Ditto. The only fish I've ever had that I saw always active at night or very early morning were clowns. Maybe they're totally ******s during the day because they're sleep deprived?

Weird, my storm clown sleeps like a human. Lays down on the sand, does not move. I’ve thought she was dead more than once.

My blue assessor is always around. When I wander the house in the middle of the night, it’s there lurking, comes right up to glass if it sees me no matter how dark it is in the room.

I also find my yellow headed jawfish is often up at night reorganizing its cave. But when I feed during day, cave is fully closed until it smells the food and comes out.

Our powder blue used to be a complete jerk, both to fish and corals. Then we figured out that the moonlight mode on our lights were giving him insomnia. Turned off the moonlight mode, now he’s a model citizen.

Mine would occasionally but spent most of the time hunting.
I need to check on my clown in the basement. She's in a leather now after moving from a monticap. I have a hunch she's wiggling around all night.

This was recorded at 2:30 AM. I also often catch my skunk cruising around the tank and inspecting the sand at night like a little predator. He doesn't miss anything in his tank

My Clowns are together at the top of the tank, breaking the surface basically, wriggling all night.. I actually worry they never rest. There are much more relaxing places. But I think it's just the weirdness of Clowns.

Starry Blenny hops from rock to rock all night - watching. Total creeper.
