Probably over half of my system is DIY and you can find most info in my build thread in signature below or in the DIY forum under my user name.

quick list of my DIY projects to my Reeftank include: Custom stand and canopy, Broad Spectrum East-to-West LED array, Sump/fuge, Probe holder, modded magnetic algae clip, SeaSwirl bracket, PVC sub structure for LR and a Auto Feeder bracket

Cheers, Todd

I installed an ato in my sump. Behind the tank I had a utility room so I installed three 32 gallon tubs in there. My ro filter supplies water to the first tank controlled by a float switch. The second tub holds ro water plus calcium. The third tub holds made up salt water. One half inch pvc line runs to all three tubs and to the sump with a manual valve on each and a pump at the bottom of each tub. The second tubs pump is controlled by float switches in the sump so it automatically tops the tank up as needed. A simple valve change and plugging the salt water tub pump into the ato allows me to fill the sump with saltwater as I siphon water out of the display tank. I can manually pump water from the ro tub to the other tubs by simply opening and closing valves. It's the best labor saver I've ever had. No more hauling water.
