hey everyone so im in the market for a nissan 350z i think i found the one i want however i really love the 370z body kit
any idea if its possible to have the body kit for that car put on the 350?
ive been looking but i cant find a straight answer anywhere figured id try my friends on r2r lol
thanks in advance

I've never tried putting a body kit on anything, yet, but as long as the cars are the same length and width, you'll be ok with the body kit, may have to modify a little bit, but it shouldn't be that hard to do...btw, I'm a trained auto technician, going to school to be trained diesel technology lol

I agree with the above post. Yes you can put a 370z front bumper rear bumper side skirts on a 350 but have you priced out what the parts cost is for all the pieces and then you gotta paint it. And I can tell you that a good paint job ain't cheap. What's the difference in price between a 350 and 370? You might be better off paying a bit more and buying the 370. Plus re sale value will be better and I'm sure there is quite a bit of other improvements on the 370 then just the looks. Just my 2 cents. And as for credentials. I started selling cars when I was 18 for Chevy then Cadillac and was the aftermarket manager for 2 years at a gmc Buick and Hyundai dealership. Left the car business almost exactly a year ago.

thanks both of you guys!
as far as price difference goes its pretty significant a used 370 is going at around 26-30 grand
whereas im looking at an 05-06 350 for less than 12grand but i love the look of the 370 what im really looking for is the shape of the headlights for the 370 to put on the 350 if you've ever seen the two cars they are just about the same body type with the differences in the headlights and body kits of course

Yea I just found out from a buddy that you can but you need to replaces headlights fenders and hood to. And offcourse front and rear bumper

Here's a full build thread from someone who did the same thing:

My Vk56 Swapped 350z - MY350Z.COM Forums

I
honestly think it looks terrible and the body lines don't flow... but to each their own.

now that i see it i kindve agree lol
man that sucks the 370 is such a sexy car! i just dont have 30 grand to burn or god knows i would lol
but thanks man that really helped!!

any pictures i just saw a buildthread that was posted and it wasnt so hot after all lol i may end up keeping it stock unless your friend has a nice example?

What's the maximum amount of miles your thinking of. Or how many miles does that 350z you want have. I just found a black 370 with 60000 miles asking $19000 and a red 370 with 52000 miles for $19k as well and I only searched for 3 minutes. There's probably some great deals out there especially if your willing to drive a bit. And take the time to haggle the price down another thousand or two.

you think you could pm where you found those cars?
are you in fl?

I'm pretty sure the 350 and 370 are on different frames, and more than likely not shaped the same, nor have the same holes for bolts to line up on both the 350 and 370 body parts.

Therefore, it would take a lot of work to transplate a 370 body onto a 350. Even in that thread, you can see there is a major gap between the fender and the door. This is probably a very difficult thing to do, which is exactly why everyone on the 350 forum was going nuts that they saw it happen.

Save your pennies, or, get the 350Z and mod it with actual 350Z aftermarket parts.
