Anyone into leopard gecko’s?

Beautiful snakes! I kept a Brazilian Rainbow Boa. Absolutely gorgeous snake if you've never seen one.

I’ve had to give up on the reptiles for a while per the wife. Even though she likes snakes she was a little iffy with our son when he was born. At my high I had 37 snakes with 19 breeders.

Most old salts have a parrot to sit on there shoulder.. I have my gecko, she’s not happy until she gets to her perch.. lol. She also loves to watch my tanks but I think she may be a little jealous of the attention they get.

Adorable! Love geckos but was always told they weren’t social. We have marbled ones wild around the house/garden. I’m going to have to look into leopards now. I have two eastern blue tongues that I am hoping will breed.

My brother and I used to breed ball pythons, bearded dragons, and leopard geckos. It was a blast. They had to go as we both decided to find ladies and get married :D:p

Adorable! Love geckos but was always told they weren’t social. We have marbled ones wild around the house/garden. I’m going to have to look into leopards now. I have two eastern blue tongues that I am hoping will breed.

You have to get them very young and handle them a lot for the best disposition.. we got her at about 4 weeks and she probably spends more time being handled than she does in her inclosure :)

Those are some sweet looking Boas......I never got into keeping snakes as much as and adult (plenty growing up :)) but I did have a Red Tail and a Common Ball Python. Were you selling online or breeding just for fun?

At the time I was breeding for online sales I was one of only 12-15 (can’t remember but it was low) to successfully consistently breed Emerald Tree Boas in the US. I never got the chance to breed my Amazon Basin Emerald though. She was actually the one that funded me getting back into reefing.

I've had dart frogs, blue tailed monitor, a few tree monitors, Brazilian rainbow boa, water turtles, but nothing as long as my leopard gecko!! I've had him for over 20 yrs and still going strong!

Wow.. that’s a long time, I was just reading about a male gecko someone had for 27 years and it’s still kicking.

Wow, that is impressive. The emeralds are one of those snakes that I have always wanted but always seemed unattainable.

As more and more F2 and F3s are getting out there, they are much easier to keep since the early to mid 2000s. My WC ones were much more difficult to keep and probably had about a 60-70% mortality rate. Most only making it less than a year. But those that did make it made great breeders. F1s were the hardest to get eating but my F2s had a near 100% survival rate.
