Anyone know what this maybe on the base of many of my corals? Best pic I could get is of it on an mini lord. It's white and kind of hairy like, some spots look kind of like larvae

I mean they are literally on every coral i have now, and both my birds nest are STN now. Along with another unknown acro.

Poriferan sponge and a couple of corals have tunicates

Don’t think they are the prob. Your tank looks young. How long has it been up and running? What are your params?

Can't blow them off. And the tank has been running since the beginning of August. So right about 4 months. Never had an algae stage either. Cycled for about 2 months with the lights off. Anyway, params.

Ph 7.6? With probe, calibrated. Which is really what i thought was causing the issue until I looked real close and found this stuff growing in the coral. I started a thread on the ph the other day cause I run a co2 scrubber with air pulling from outside and have good surface agitation. Thought the probe needed calibrated but the drop tests seem to confirm the reading. Which just seems impossible to me.

Also, I know there are some hydroids in the tank as well.

They are just sponges, I have them everywhere, but not usually where I have frags, they would get blown away normally. How's the flow there?

Sponges typically grow in low light, low flow areas. I'm willing to bet you don't have as much flow as you think you do. You have to consider the rockwork, tank design, and where the PH's are placed to account for flow.

For instance in my 80G cube I have 2 mp10's, 2 jebao pp8's, and a gyre xf350. All at various levels, and at various heights throughout the tank. I have a large lagoon style rockwork, and at the middle to top I can blow the skin off acro's if I'm not careful with placement. And at the lower end to bottom is where I place my LPS.
