I wouldn't get to deep into stocks just yet, too many speculators. My buddy and I cashed out our 401ks last year to purchase real estate and so far it's been a much better investment. 4 grand down can buy you a rental unit that can stay in your family for decades.

i considered investing in real estate but the properties tax here in Houston is mad stupid.
