ANYONE OWN AN ATI POWERMODULE HYBRID?

[Diesel]

I dont want to promote other forums on this one. I can send you a pm.

Most of us know which other :( forum you talking about.

Yes what was stated above was part of what i read. Many folks said they was happier with a powermodule and reefbrites. Im lrobably only going to run the leds 30%-50%. I also read that supposedly the newer models had fixed the issues of powering off randomly. Also my clusters are the single cluster. I believe these are the newer one? And the clusters with 2 rows are the old... Also im not trying to bash the light in any way, so far I love it!

I haven't had any technical issues other than it not keeping time. It's functioned flawlessly otherwise. I've had the fixture for almost three months now.

I must say if you crank up all the LEDs to full power and have all the T5's on the output is just stunning and gorgeous with all the shimmer. I wish I could run it like that!

I plan to experiment running either less T5's or dimmed to 30-50% and using LEDs as the primary power source. I believe the fixture has enough power to be pure T5 or pure LED.

@Diesel clearly has the magic settings on his PM but the bulb combo and schedule are top-secret :D

Correct, you have the same clusters I do and they are the newest ones.

I love my 60" 8x80w ATI

[bkelley02]

How is everyone mounting them? My wife will flip out if I put holes in the ceiling. Any suggestions on places to get tank mounted arms to hang it?

[paddling oar's]

I bought the ones in the picture from home depot.

[paddling oar's]

It has to be mounted into studs for sure, fixture is heavy. It was for the heavy duty shelves.

[bkelley02]

And this puts it over the tank far enough to be centered?

[paddling oar's]

The white one is about 15" from the wall.

[paddling oar's]

This fixture is overkill for this tank but i plan to upgrade this tank in the near future and didnt want to be buying a new light when i did.

All Gieseman bulbs here and you can find the combo in the "Spotlight" thread.
All blues LEDs are 100%, white only 20% and red LEDs 0.0%.
I guess that ain't a secret any more, know you guys wish what the rest of the recipe is

Awesome! Haven't read your Spotlight thread, I'll check that out. You run the blue LEDs at 100% power or at 255 of 255 at a lower total power?

I sure hope it is a great fixture cause I'm about to pull the trigger on a used 48" t5 hybrid. Used for 1 year for $1300. Is that a good deal?

You won't be disappointed. Good deal if it's the 8 bulb!
