Im trying to figure out how much media is needed to run a 80 gallon system.

It's for my Clownfish. I have 6 10's plumbed to a 20 Sump. And i have a gallon of media to use. Ill order more later if i need to.

I cant find how to calculate how much media is needed. BTW im not using LR And i dont want to.

I never even heard of it till I saw your thread. I see it is made of polyethylene, which is pretty common plastic. Sees expensive, and I don't see much difference between these and bioballs.

BTW im not using LR And i dont want to.

Guess you made it clear that you do not want to do LR, and I assume you have a place for the K1 media in the sump, is there a reason you don't want to put LR in the sump area that you were going to use for the other media? Just curious.

Its a breeding system. I dont want to worry about anything dieing on the LR if i have to medicate. Plus ive never had a system without rock...... I like the K1 because its self cleaning!

IF YOU HAD TO OPERATE EVERYTHING ELSE MANUALLY, WHICH AUTOMATED SYSTEM WOULD YOU KEEP?
