I have 4 ecoxotic stunners I threw on a 14gallon biocube and love them...I personally got great par readings (if I recall, 6-8" down in the low-mid 100s, 3-4" in the high 100s-with two daylights and two actinics) and so far my zoas are doing great (and multiplying)....now granted on larger/deeper systems like others said I doubt they'd be noticeable...but for nano tanks, I think they are sweet. Only problem I've had is they don't seem to be all that "water resistant" like claimed...I had one go out on me from getting wet after a month or so (thankfully by eco). For larger tanks, reefbrites are definitely the way to go unless you get a lot of the panoramas.

Know its a bit late, but thought I'd give my opinion too in case others were curious. :)
