Anyone using Fishbit?

Last year, on up to a few months ago, there was a lot of discussion about Fishbit. Has anyone gotten one? Are they using it? What are your thoughts?

I haven't seen much about them lately. I don't think they are even out of Beta yet.

June update from kickstarter. It claims they will ship by the end of August but I have not seen any updates since June.
"Over the last several weeks we’ve vetted and picked a plastics manufacturer, gone back and forth with them on mold design and continued the testing process. It’s finally happening! And it’s all thanks to you awesome people. We’re at the final stages now and are really excited to get you your Fishbit hardware soon. It looks like we’ve slipped a few weeks on our timeline due to some of the back and forth with the manufacturers and testing consultants, but we should still be receiving first articles in August and be able to start shipping product near the end of August."

I remeber an article in February saying they had finished beta testing and ironed out any wrinkles in the app and would be shipping soon.

I believe they are competing with Mindstream for most overhyped/biggest underdeliver award.

Yeah, i can see how this would be good for freshwater tanks or Nanos but not being able to expand the system makes it very limited compared to Apex. Their design is good though.

My view of the Fishbit is that for advanced reef keepers it will be lacking in features, but for those who want something plug and play and simple - it would probably work quite well.

I have the rapid led Corona lights that are controlled by the fishbit app so far they have work really good had a problem when I first got the lights but it ended up being my phone not the app

They will start shipping end of September ! I am an early backer and they just updated me today with the news. They had a couple of issues that delayed them and are hopeful for end of September but not confident !

They just sent out an email they are reworking a few things pushed back delivery 60 days
