Can anyone tell me how to access my apex with my macbook pro? am i going to have to use an ethernet cord, or buy a specific connector to allow my laptop which doesnt have an ethernet port to access it? Eventually i would like to do port forwarding and access my controller via the Apex app but for now im lost.

Cory, Go to the support section/forum on the apex website. Russ or aquamaniac will help you out.

Cory The easiest way to do this is to plug the apex into your Network using one of the ports on your router then use the display module if you have one go to System→ Net Setup → IP Address. it sould have an ip address of 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x you can then type that ip into your web browser like this Http://iphere. If this dosent work for you you can also type http://apex

If this fails dhcp is off and you can turn it on using the display module by going to System→Net Setup → DHCP it should be on.

Let me know if this works for you

i dont have alot of expirence with thoes power line adapters but i would recomend plugging it directly into your network and getting access first. Once you do this you can assign it a manual ip address that matches the rest of your network and plug it back into your powerline adapter

I tried to connect my Apex to network via airport express on initial setup. Couldn't get it connected. I plugged directly to network and assigned an IP address. Went back to airport express and it worked wonderfully.
