so i know to store probes wet but how long can you store probes and whats the best way? Reason i ask is cause i bought 2 used apex units, one gold which has all 4 probes and one regular orange classic the classic came with just temp and a brand new lab grade single junction ph probe so this ones extra and i want to try to keep it for a calcium reactor in the future. Is it just best to sell it and get another one when i get the reactor or just keep it? my second question is what can i do with the second apex brain do i need it if i want to connect my main tank to my frag tank in another part of the house or would i just run a really long usb cord to another eb8 and control it with the main tank unit?

I would imagine that you can store them that way for quite sometime. You have to think about existing inventory and how long it will sit in stores and in warehouses. I would imagine that if having the probe submerged while stored and still going bad would have caused an uproar when people bought them and the probes didn't work. Just my $0.02.

You could just run a usb cord to the other tank and connect it to an eb8 or a module. Unless the tanks are ridicuosly far (over 100 feet I think). If you sell the brain let me know. I've been looking for one!
