My apex A3 controllers FMM port was reading disconnected. I deleted it and went to go add the LLS I had on it but now there’s no option for it. Any suggestions? Did I permanently f it up

Can’t see the FMM switches even anymore

There should be a factory reset button on the FMM near the ports that you can press with a paper clip and then the apex controller should recognize it again as a new device.

Oh, I didn't realize the Apex 3 has built in FMM ports. So it sounds like you went to the Modules screen and clicked on the FMM_X module and in the configure dropdown, selected Delete? If so, I would think you could click on the + button on the Modules screen to add it back. If you are seeing the FMM Module but not the actual ports, then you may just need to change the port to a different kind such as Optical, save it, and then flip it back to LLS. Another possibility is that the switch tiles are there but just have to be re-added to your dashboard by clicking on the padlock icon and then dragging them back down to the desired location with all your other tiles.

I am also having the same issue and can not get the internal FMM "module" or ports to show up.
I just had my Apex power bar go bad that was connected to my Apex 3 controller. The power bar was exhibiting voltage errors and was causing all sorts of crazy things with the controller in addition to random outlets shutting off.

The out of the box setup for the Apex 3 controller uses an aqua bus cable to provide both power and communication from the power bar but you can also buy the extra power adapter for the apex controller (sold separately). If your power bar is being flaky it can cause voltage issues with the controller and the FMM1 module can disappear. If you unplug the power bar and plug it back in, the FMM1 module should come back. Rebooting the Apex controller does not usually fix this, but a complete power cycle will (assuming your FMM isnt actually faulty). If you have the optional power adapter for the controller, try disconnecting the aqua bus from the power bar and running the controller just off the power adapter. That is how I figured out my power bar was bad. It is also possible your aqua bus cable could be faulty. Hope this helps!

I tried a second EB832. I thought it was strange that fusion offered a system OS update after doing so. Still same behavior, the FMM module is listed as disconnected and the only available actions are configure or delete.

Interesting, I wonder if you delete it and cycle the power does it come back?

So I have deleted it at least twice. After power cycling it at least once, the module did not show back up. I had to factory reset it to make it come back (though still as disconnected).

Any update on this? The exact same thing happened to me. I got home from work and the power bar was blinking and all the modules were going crazy. After resetting everything the FMM won't connect anymore.

I had a call with Neptune Systems yesterday and they confirmed that my issue is a hardware one and that I will have to send it in for repairs. I am still waiting on an RMA # to do that.

Sorry, it really sucks. Hopefully it is still under warranty. There is obviously some flaw in the design or manufacturing that is causing this problem to occur for multiple people.

Same thing here. Neptune replaced my unit and this morning, the new unit is doing the same thing, but this time only three of the ports aren't found. So at least one of the four sensors work...

That is so strange. I would love to know what is going on and have confidence that my apex is not going to fail on me!
