Apex controller temp port not working

I bought a brand new Apex 6 mos ago, but just now got it online. I plugged in the temp probe, and that was not detected. I contacted support, but they wanted me to send in terminal picture. But I got a PM2 module so I plugged that in. Turns out the temp probe works fine that way. I have another temp probe for a planned second tank so I tried that as well. Same issue.

Any suggestion? Could the Apex controller temp probe connector just go bad? Thanks.
