Apex cor 20 problems

Ive had a cor 20 for about 2 years now. It is a stand alone without the main apex controller. About 3-4 weeks ago, my return pump has shut off out of the blue and when it tries to cycle back on, it starts to flow for about 2 seconds and then shuts off again. The only way I can get it back to its usual flow speed (50%), is to quickly turn the rate down as low as possible during those 2 seconds and it will then stay on and the lowest flow rate. I can then slowly ramp it back up to 50%. If I try to ramp it up to fast, it shuts off again.

Any ideas?

Have you taken it apart to check the inner works of it? It might need cleaning, something might be obstructing the impeller!

Could be a power surge override function in the controller itself.
