APEX DOS question

I'm pretty newt o the APEX scene and wanted to know if you wanted to add a DOS to you APEX, do you need the 1Link. If not, how would it be controlled.

The DOS comes with an Aquabus cable and power supply. You don't need anything else to connect it to your Apex system.

Connecting a DOS to a 1LINK module (or EnergyBar832 if you have a Apex 2016 model) is an optional method if desired. If you want to do so, you can, but you will need the proper cable. The advantage is that you can prove both power and communications to the DOS via one cable, eliminating the need to use the separate power supply.
