Awesome article! A question for you, if you don't mind:
I have an Apex Jr w/EB832 power bar. I use one FMM for my ATK, with the power adapter for the PMUP. I have a second FMM and would like to add a GRO light and 2 solenoid valves. I'll run the solenoid valves directly from the EB832, and use a programmed "feed cycle" to control them. I would like to use the second FMM to run the GRO light.

From your article it appears that I can connect one FMM to the Apex, and then connect the second FMM to the first FMM. Is that correct? Would it also be possible to connect both FMMs to the EB832 instead? Is one configuration better than the other?

Thanks!

It seems like your question is getting clarification about how to route the aquabus cables.

If so, there isn't a right or wrong way to provide connection to the apex. All the aquabus connectors are wired in parallel and connected via can bus communication. Which means, connecting an FMM directly to the apex or 10 modules down the line makes no difference in how it communicates. There's no right or wrong way to do it.

Edit: if your question is pertaining to powering the FMM (24V PSU) from one FMM to another, the answer is no.

If you're going to utilize the 24v ACC port on your FMM it will require that you connect a separate 24v PSU to each FMM.

Thanks for letting me know, and for the response. It was a bit of a stretch on a 3-year old thread! His posts have really helped me with learning the Apex!

So, sounds like I can control the GRO light by linking the FMMs but will need to power the second FMM. Which means another power adapter. Guess I'm going shopping!
